Traditional kilim style from the Mediterranean Anatolia aea of Turkey.  The heavily decorated end panels dominate the composition, contrasting with the subtle shading of the red madder abrash field or sometimes called the “empty” field; but a wonderful place to rest the eyes and enjoy the colors and textures. Tightly woven wool on wool construction makes this a very durable area rug.
