A very finely detailed saddle bag, constructed of 100% hand spun sheep wool, woven with the flat weave technique. This saddle bag (heybe) was used to carry things on an animal such as camel or horse. Motifs are embroidered in outline, colors are vegetable dyes. A very traditional, eastern Turkish nomadic piece. Approximately 50 years old
